Oil-tanking Malta Limited was inaugurated in 1992 with the objective of offering a warehouse facility for oil, offering berthing facilities and servicing multinational companies based in Europe. The Malta facility forms part of Oiltanking Gmbh.
The storage facilities were expanded in the port of Marsaxlokk in 2007 and presently Oiltanking Malta Ltd has a total storage capacity of 572,000 cubic metres.
